Woodburn is a historic farm complex near Leesburg, Virginia, dating back to 1777, originally built for the Nixson family. The site features a stone gristmill and a large brick house known as 'Dr. Nixson's Folly,' constructed between 1825 and 1850. The architecture showcases Flemish bond brickwork and includes a unique double-pile plan. Visitors can also explore a large bank barn with distinctive brick arches and a 'patent house,' which is the oldest structure on the property. The farm manager's house, added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2008, further enriches the site's historical significance.
