Mount Oval

Mount Oval is a historic farmhouse located in south central Ohio, near Circleville, built in the 1830s. It was originally settled by John Boggs, who purchased the land from the U.S. government, with the deed signed by Thomas Jefferson and James Madison. The property has significant historical importance, showcasing evidence of aboriginal occupation and becoming a center for cattle farming under the Renick family, who were pioneers in supplying cattle to the East Coast. The farmhouse is a fine example of Palladian architecture, featuring a unique interior room for cattlemen. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974, Mount Oval is a notable site for both tourists and researchers interested in American history and architecture.
