Horticultural Hall (Boston, 1865)

Horticultural Hall, built in 1865, served as the headquarters for the Massachusetts Horticultural Society until 1901. Located at 100-102 Tremont Street, it featured stunning horticultural-themed sculptures by Martin Milmore, including representations of Ceres, Flora, and Pomona. The building housed a library with over 4,000 horticultural volumes and hosted various exhibitions and concerts in its elegant halls. Despite its historical significance, the society found the space outdated by 1899 and moved to a new location in the Back Bay in 1901, leading to the hall's demolition the same year. The surviving statues were later restored and relocated to the society's new headquarters in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
