Johnson Camden McKinley House

The Johnson Camden McKinley House, also known as 'Willow Glen,' is a stunning historic residence located in Wheeling, West Virginia. Constructed between 1914 and 1920, this impressive 1+1⁄2-story home features a unique L-shaped design made of ashlar sandstone. Visitors can admire its elegant front elevation, which includes a balustraded loggia and a spacious verandah. Inside, the house boasts a magnificent two-story entrance rotunda, a grand salon, an English-style library, and around 30 additional rooms. Built for coal baron Johnson Camden McKinley and his wife Agra Bennett McKinley, the house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, making it a significant site for both tourists and researchers interested in early 20th-century architecture and local history.
