Freeze Building

The Freeze Building, located at 18 W. Concho Ave. in San Angelo, Texas, is a historic site built in 1887 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997. This two-story commercial block, made from local sandstone, originally served as a blacksmith and wheelwright shop for Danish immigrant Peter K. Freeze, who employed eight workers by 1888. Although Freeze began a three-story expansion, it was never completed, adding to the building's historical intrigue.
