Joyner Building

The Joyner Building was a historic structure at Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, North Carolina, built between 1913 and 1914. This two-story, T-shaped red brick building served various purposes, including classrooms, administrative offices, and even the college post office. It was recognized for its historical significance by being added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. Unfortunately, the building was destroyed by fire in 1981, just before planned renovations. Today, the site is home to Joyner Plaza, a space that reflects the university's history and serves as a gathering place for students.
