Cathedral of Junk

An evolving folk-art structure assembled over decades from discarded objects by Austin resident Vince Hannemann, the Cathedral of Junk occupies a private lot and is notable for its dense, multi-level assemblage of found materials. The site has been opened to visitors by appointment and during occasional public events and tours. It is widely cited in accounts of Austin vernacular and outsider art as a distinctive handmade structure.
