Carpenter's Hall (First Continental Congress meeting place)

Carpenter's Hall, completed in 1770 at this address, is the historic meeting place of the Carpenters' Company of the City and County of Philadelphia and a well-preserved example of colonial architecture. The hall hosted the First Continental Congress in 1774 and is interpreted today as a site of Revolutionary-era meetings and civic activity.
