Hoffman Elementary School

Hoffman Elementary School, located in the Evanston neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio, is a historic building designed by the renowned architectural firm Samuel Hannaford and Sons, constructed in 1922. After facing potential demolition in 2012, the school was auctioned and donated to Christ Temple Baptist Church. In 2023, plans emerged to sell the building for redevelopment into apartments, prompting the Cincinnati Preservation Association to seek its designation as a Local Historic Landmark. Although the Historic Conservation Board approved the application, it was ultimately denied by the Cincinnati City Council, highlighting ongoing debates about preservation and development in the area.
