Father Panik Village

Father Panik Village, the first housing project in Bridgeport and Connecticut, was established in 1940 with 778 apartments aimed at improving living conditions for residents. Funded by federal support, it became a significant community hub, featuring modern amenities for its time. However, by the 1980s, it faced severe decline, leading to its demolition by 1994. Today, the site has been transformed into Water View Park and residential areas, reflecting the area's evolution from a once-thriving community to its current state.
