Ujjayanta Palace

Ujjayanta Palace, located in Agartala, Tripura, is a stunning example of Indo-Saracenic architecture and serves as the state museum of Tripura. Originally built in 1901 by Maharaja Radha Kishore Manikya, it showcases the rich lifestyle, arts, and culture of Northeast India. The palace features impressive domes, expansive gardens with artificial ponds, and a collection of over 1,400 artifacts, including sculptures, terracotta, and tribal art. It was the royal residence until 1949 and later housed the Tripura Legislative Assembly until 2011. Inaugurated as a museum in 2013, Ujjayanta Palace aims to promote research and cultural activities while preserving the heritage of the region.
