Anders Hintze House

The Anders Hintze House, built around 1863-64 in Holladay, Utah, is a notable example of Scandinavian vernacular architecture and one of the few surviving houses from the 1860s in the Salt Lake valley. This historic one-story adobe house features a stucco exterior added in the 1940s and was home to Anders Hintze, a Danish immigrant and early LDS church convert. The house reflects a unique 'three-part' design with a central room and two deep side rooms. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983 and offers insights into the lives of early settlers in Utah.
