Loraine Building

The Loraine Building, located at 124 East Fulton Street in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is a historic six-story Georgian Revival structure that was originally built in 1901 as the first apartment building for upper-middle-income tenants in the city. Known initially as the 'Immen Building,' it was renamed by its creator, Frank Immen, in honor of his wife. The building features distinctive wooden bay windows and decorative brick elements. Over the years, it transitioned from residential apartments to office space, completing the conversion by 1950. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, making it a notable site for both tourists and researchers interested in architectural history and urban development.
