Preston C. Lorick House

The Preston C. Lorick House, also known as the Lorick-Baker House, is a historic residence in Columbia, South Carolina, built before 1840 and remodeled in the Late Victorian style in the late 1800s. This two-story frame dwelling features a charming wraparound portico, decorative brackets under the eaves, and intricate gingerbread woodwork. Notably, it served as the home of Governor John Lawrence Manning during his term from 1852 to 1854. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972, making it a significant site for both tourists and researchers interested in South Carolina's architectural and political history.
