National Museum of African American Music

The National Museum of African American Music (NMAAM) opened in downtown Nashville in 2021 and documents the contributions of African Americans to American music across genres and history. The museum's exhibits trace musical traditions from spirituals and blues through jazz, R&B, gospel, and hip-hop, and it offers educational programs and public events. It is located on Lower Broadway as part of Nashville's museum and entertainment corridor.
