Nepal Airlines Flight RA-183 (approximted) - 2/16/2014

avherald.com (http://avherald.com/h?article=47016e9c&opt=1) A Nepal Airlines de Havilland DHC-6-300 Twin Otter, registration 9N-ABB performing flight RA-183 from Pokhara to Jumla (Nepal) with 15 passengers and 3 crew, departed Pokhara at 12:43L (06:58Z) but radio contact was lost about 30 minutes later while the aircraft attempted to divert to Siddharthanagar's Bhairahawa Airport. The aircraft did not arrive at Jumla at the estimated time of arrival (13:45L) or Bhairahawa Airport, a search was initiated though hampered by weather. Local residents reporting a burning object and a helicopter located the burning wreckage of the aircraft in the jungles near Khidim about 40nm southwest of Pokhara and about 25nm north of Siddharthanagar. All on board were killed. On Feb 17th 2014 Nepal's Civil Aviation Authority reported that rescue and recovery teams reached the crash site located in the village of Masine Lek, Dhikura VDC in Argakhanchi district (approximate coordinates N28.05 E83.22), the 18 occupants of the aircraft were found all over the hill, there were no survivors. Helicopters have already flown the bodies to Kathmandu.
