Warrenpoint (William Branson House)

Warrenpoint, also known as the William Branson House, is a historic home located in Knauertown, Pennsylvania, built in 1756 in the Georgian Colonial style. The house was constructed by William Branson, a prominent figure in the early iron industry, who was associated with the Franklin Stove and owned Reading Furnace and Warwick Furnace Farms. The property is significant for its connection to Branson's grandson, Samuel Van Leer, who played a crucial role in the American Revolutionary War. The house, made of stone in the German Colonial tradition, was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975 and offers a glimpse into the region's rich history, including its ties to George Washington's army during the Revolutionary War.
