Palace of the Legion of Honor (art museum in Lincoln Park)

The Palace of the Legion of Honor opened in 1924 as a fine arts museum in Lincoln Park and was donated to the city by Alma de Bretteville Spreckels in memory of her husband. The building is a near-replica of the French Pavilion at the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition. Its collections include European paintings, sculptures, and a plaster cast of Auguste Rodin's The Thinker. The museum is part of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco.
