Temasek Shophouse

Temasek Shophouse, located on Orchard Road in Singapore's Museum Planning Area, is a historic townhouse completed in 1928. Originally designed for local businessmen, it has served various purposes over the decades, including a furniture shop and an apparel store. Acquired and restored by Temasek Holdings in 2017, it now functions as a social impact hub, housing the Temasek Trust and other philanthropic organizations. The building features a restored atrium, outdoor terrace, and a Green Wall with diverse plant life. A café on the ground floor employs individuals with disabilities, enhancing its community focus. Currently undergoing renovations with an expected completion in 2025, it remains a significant landmark for both tourists and researchers interested in Singapore's architectural heritage and social initiatives.
