Peterscourt

Peterscourt is a historic building located on City Road in Peterborough, designed by the renowned architect George Gilbert Scott and completed in 1859. Initially serving as St Peter's Teacher Training College for men, it later transitioned to a women's college and has had various uses over the years, including housing the American Red Cross Club during WWII. The building is notable for its impressive early 18th-century doorway, salvaged from the London Guildhall, featuring ornate Corinthian pilasters and Gothick glazing. Today, Peterscourt is home to the Eco Innovation Centre and serves as a serviced office centre, making it a point of interest for both tourists and researchers exploring the architectural and educational history of the area.
