Xylofagou

Xylofagou is a charming village in the Larnaca District of Cyprus, known for its rich agricultural heritage and historical significance. Nestled near the A3 motorway, it is part of the Kokkinochoria region, famous for its nutrient-rich red soil that supports the cultivation of delicious local potatoes. The village is notable for housing the oldest known dwarf elephant fossils in Cyprus, dating back 200,000 years, and features a medieval Venetian watchtower.
