C. W. Miller Livery Stable

The C. W. Miller Livery Stable, located in Buffalo, New York, is a historic six-story masonry building constructed between 1892 and 1894. Originally designed to accommodate horses and wagons, it featured innovative engineering for its time, including long ramps for easy access. As automobiles became prevalent, the stable was adapted into a parking garage with modified steeper ramps. Known as a 'palace for horses' when it opened, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007. In 2017, it was repurposed by Buffalo Public Schools into the Emerson School of Hospitality, in collaboration with the nearby Curtiss Hotel, transforming this historic site into a culinary education hub.
