The Gum Wall (Post Alley)

The Gum Wall is an informal public display of chewed gum on the brick wall in Post Alley beneath Pike Place Market that began accumulating in the early 1990s. It became a well-known local attraction and was professionally cleaned in November 2015 when thousands of pieces of gum were removed. The site has since continued to accumulate new gum and remains a photographed feature near the market.
