Amir Taz Palace

The Amir Taz Palace, located at the intersection of Saliba Street and Suyufiyya Street in Cairo, Egypt, is a historic palace built in 1352 by Emir Taz al-Nasiri. Originally constructed to celebrate his marriage to the daughter of Sultan Nasir bin Muhammad, the palace has undergone several renovations, particularly in the 17th century under Khedive Ismail. In the 19th century, it transitioned to a girls' school and later served as a storage depot for the Ministry of Education, making it a site of both architectural and educational significance.
