Deer Valley Petroglyph Preserve – Hohokam rock-art panels

Deer Valley Petroglyph Preserve protects more than 1,500 petroglyphs carved into basalt by Hohokam and other prehistoric peoples. The site includes an on-site interpretive center and an elevated boardwalk that lets visitors view the rock-art panels without directly accessing the boulder fields. The preserve is operated by the City of Phoenix and serves as a documented example of desert rock-art installations in the Phoenix basin.
