Waagepetersen House

The Waagepetersen House is a historic Neoclassical mansion located in the heart of Copenhagen, Denmark. Built between 1792 and 1793 by architect Johan Martin Quist, this elegant building has served various purposes over the centuries, including as a residence for the prominent wine merchant Christian Waagepetersen, who transformed it into a cultural hub during the Danish Golden Age. The house hosted many notable figures, including musicians and artists, and is characterized by its unique architectural features, such as Ionic pilasters and a distinctive dormer. Today, it has been converted into residential apartments and commercial spaces, including a wine bar, making it a vibrant part of Copenhagen's urban landscape.
