Brendle Farms

Brendle Farms, also known as the Alexander Schaeffer Farm and Sheetz Farm, is a historic site in Schaefferstown, Pennsylvania, dating back to around 1750. This remarkable property features a Swiss bank house, a large arched wine cellar, and a distillery, alongside various historic structures including a bank barn, stone pigsty, and smokehouse. It is part of the Historic Schaefferstown museum and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972, with the Schaeffer House receiving National Historic Landmark status in 2011. Visitors can explore the rich agricultural heritage and architecture of early American farming life.
