Miners' Convalescent Home

The Miners' Convalescent Home, located in Blackpool, Lancashire, is a historic site built between 1925 and 1927 to serve miners from Lancashire and Cheshire. Opened by Edward, Prince of Wales, it showcases Baroque Revival architecture designed by the Bolton firm Bradshaw Gass & Hope. The building features a symmetrical three-storey layout with red brick and terracotta details, highlighted by a distinctive tower. Designated as a Grade II listed building by English Heritage in 1995, it functioned as a convalescent home until the 1980s and has since been converted into apartments, making it an interesting site for both tourists and researchers interested in industrial heritage and architectural history.
