Theodore Roosevelt Birthplace

Theodore Roosevelt was born at the brownstone at 28 East 20th Street in Manhattan on October 27, 1858. The site is preserved as the Theodore Roosevelt Birthplace National Historic Site, a reconstructed period house that interprets his family life and early years. The museum contains artifacts and exhibits about Roosevelt's upbringing and public career.
