Mylius–Eaton House

The Mylius–Eaton House is a historic Queen Anne-style residence located in Sioux City, Iowa. Built by Charles Mylius but never occupied by him, the house became home to Franz and Matilda Shenkberg and later to banker Fred Eaton and his family, who owned it until 1967. Designed by architect William D. McLaughlin, the house showcases a unique blend of architectural features, including clapboard, shingles, and half-timbering, along with a prominent porch and porte-cochère. The property also includes a two-story carriage house, both of which were added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2004, making it a notable site for tourists and researchers interested in local history and architecture.
