Bere Court

Bere Court is a historic Grade I listed country house located in Pangbourne, Berkshire, originally built in the 13th century as the manor house for the area. The house has a rich history, including its association with Hugh Faringdon, the Abbot of Reading, who was executed for treason in 1539. Over the centuries, it has changed hands multiple times, notably being remodeled in the 18th century into its current Georgian style by the Breedon family. Although it has been a private residence since the 1890s, its historical significance and architectural beauty make it an interesting site for tourists and researchers alike.
