Track 61 private rail platform at the Waldorf Astoria

Track 61 is an unused private train platform and siding beneath the Waldorf Astoria Hotel that connected directly to the Grand Central Terminal rail network. It is documented that President Franklin D. Roosevelt used the platform on at least one occasion to allow a discreet arrival at the hotel; accounts of its regularity and the specifics of each use are discussed by historians.
