Springburn Public Halls

Springburn Public Halls was a historic municipal building located on Millarbank Street in Springburn, Glasgow, Scotland. Opened in 1902, it was designed in the Italian Renaissance style and featured impressive architectural elements, including a grand assembly hall and statues of Greek goddesses. Originally funded by local industrialist James Reid, the venue hosted various events until its closure in 1960, after which it served as a sports center until 1985. Unfortunately, the building fell into disrepair and was demolished in 2012 due to safety concerns. The site has since been redeveloped into residential flats, preserving the legacy of the original structure.
