Thaddeus Kosciuszko National Memorial

The Thaddeus Kosciuszko National Memorial, located in a small rowhouse, commemorates Polish-born military engineer Tadeusz Kosciuszko, who served in the American Revolutionary War and later lived in the house in 1797. Administered by the National Park Service, it is one of the smallest units of the NPS and preserves period rooms and exhibits about Kosciuszko's life and contributions to American independence. The site interprets his engineering work, advocacy for liberty, and transatlantic historical significance.
