Mimi Castle

Mimi Castle, located in the Anenii Noi District of Moldova, is a stunning winery and architectural monument built in the late 19th century. Commissioned by the notable Bessarabian statesman Constantin Mimi, the castle showcases a blend of classicism and historicism inspired by French architecture. Known as the first authentic chateau in Bessarabia, it features modern construction techniques of its time, including reinforced concrete. After extensive renovations completed in 2016, it has transformed into a tourist complex that includes a museum, art gallery, conference hall, hotel, spa, and restaurant, making it a perfect destination for visitors interested in history, architecture, and wine. The castle also hosted the second summit of the European Political Community in June 2023, highlighting its significance as a cultural and political venue.
