Vicarage of the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

The Vicarage of the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, located at Mariacki Square in Kraków's Old Town, is a historic tenement house with roots dating back to 1631. Originally built in Baroque style, it underwent significant renovations in the mid-18th century by architect Franciszek Placidio. After its demolition in 1934 due to structural issues, a new building was constructed in 1936, designed by Franciszek Mączyński in a classicizing style. The site is notable for its proximity to the Gothic St. Barbara's Church and has been recognized as a cultural property since 1984, making it an interesting stop for tourists and researchers exploring Kraków's architectural heritage.
