Gloria Dei (Old Swedes') Church

Gloria Dei, commonly called Old Swedes' Church, is a congregation dating to 1677 and occupies a church building completed around 1700, making it one of the oldest surviving churches in Pennsylvania. The church was built by Swedish settlers along the Delaware River and retains historic grave markers and early-18th-century fabric that document colonial-era ecclesiastical construction and community infrastructure. The site is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and remains an active parish and historic landmark.
