McLaren Lodge

McLaren Lodge is a historic building located in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, California, built in 1896. Designed by architect Edward Robinson Swain, it features a rustic stone exterior with Moorish-Gothic elements. The lodge served as the residence of the park department's superintendent, John McLaren, until his death in 1943, and has been the headquarters for the San Francisco Parks Department ever since. Designated as a landmark in 1984, McLaren Lodge offers visitors a glimpse into the city's rich history and architectural heritage.
