Cincinnati Times-Star Building

The Cincinnati Times-Star Building, located at 800 Broadway Street, is a historic landmark in Ohio, recognized for its Art Deco architecture and rich history. Built in 1933 by Samuel Hannaford & Sons, this 15-story structure features a striking limestone facade adorned with motifs celebrating the printing industry. Notably, it lacks a 13th floor due to superstitions of the era. Originally housing the Cincinnati Times-Star newspaper, which was linked to the prominent Taft family, the building later served as the home for The Cincinnati Post until 1984. Today, it is known as the 800 Broadway Building, hosting county offices and the juvenile court, while its decorative bronze and nickel silver elements continue to attract visitors and researchers alike.
