Bishop House (Taganrog)

Bishop's House, also known as Kirsanov's house, is a historic one-and-a-half-storey building located at 129 Chekhov Street in Taganrog, Rostov region, Russia. Constructed in 1824, it has a rich history, having been owned by various generals and later serving as a bishop's residence and church until the 1950s. The building features classical architectural elements, including rusticated walls, high semicircular windows, and Corinthian columns. Although it is listed as a heritage site, the house is in need of renovation and is not prioritized for restoration, making it a fascinating yet overlooked piece of Taganrog's historical landscape for tourists and researchers alike.
