Marlborough Tavern

The Marlborough Tavern, also known as the Col. Elisha Buell House, is a historic site located in Marlborough, Connecticut, built in 1760. Once a prominent stagecoach stop and civic center, it features a distinctive gambrel roof and retains original interior elements. The tavern has a rich history, having been operated by Colonel Elisha Buell and later restored by the Society of Colonial Dames. After serving as a restaurant for many years, it reopened in 2018, making it a unique destination for tourists and researchers interested in colonial history and architecture.
