Fitzgerald's - longtime Heights rock club

Fitzgerald's opened in 1977 as a live music club in the Houston Heights and became one of the city's best-known rock venues. Over its decades it presented national touring acts across rock, punk, metal, and alternative scenes, including early performances by bands such as Metallica and Nirvana. The venue closed in the late 2010s after years of changing ownership and damage, and it is widely cited in histories of Houston's live-music scene.
