Fonseca House

The Fonseca House, located on the Paseo de Colón in Pontevedra, Spain, is a stunning example of neoclassical architecture, completed in 1910. Commissioned by businessman Eulogio Fonseca, the building features impressive stone Sphinxes and palm trees at its entrance. Originally serving as the headquarters for a prominent Masonic lodge, it has a rich history and was home to various societal gatherings. Today, it houses the Provincial Historical Archive of Pontevedra, preserving nearly 9 kilometers of documents. Visitors can admire its grand façade, adorned with Tuscan columns and mythological figures, reminiscent of classical temples, making it a significant cultural landmark in the city.
