Broadcasting Tower, Leeds

Broadcasting Tower is a striking university building located in Woodhouse Lane, Leeds, England, and is part of Leeds Beckett University. Designed by award-winning architects Feilden Clegg Bradley, it features a unique rust-like appearance due to its COR-TEN weathering steel cladding. The tower houses student accommodation and the Faculty of Arts, Environment and Technology. Recognized for its architectural excellence, it won the 2010 Best Tall Building in the World award. As of September 2016, it exclusively accommodates Leeds Beckett University students, managed by Unite, a leading provider of student housing in the UK. An extensive refurbishment is planned for 2024, during which the cladding will be temporarily removed.
