San Francisco Cable Car Museum (Washington-Mason Powerhouse & Car Barn)

The Cable Car Museum houses historic cable cars and exhibits about the city's cable car system within the Washington-Mason powerhouse and car barn. The museum displays preserved cable cars and the large winding wheels and machinery that drive the Powell-Mason and Powell-Hyde lines. It is both an operational facility for the cable system and a public museum documenting its history.
