Bochumer Hut

The Bochumer Hut, located at 1,432 meters in the Kitzbühel Alps of Tyrol, Austria, is a historic Alpine club hut that attracts hikers and offers overnight accommodations. Originally built in 1832 for miners, it transitioned to a popular hiking destination after its closure in 1926. The hut is named after the Bochum Section of the German Alpine Club, which took over its management in 1964. Notably, the area has archaeological significance, with Bronze Age copper mine traces discovered in the late 19th century. Visitors can enjoy various summit tours, including Laubkogel and Geißstein, with durations ranging from 1 to 4 hours.
