Scarritt-Bennett Center (Collegiate Gothic campus)

The Scarritt-Bennett Center complex in Midtown Nashville is an example of Collegiate Gothic institutional architecture originally constructed for a Methodist training school for women. The campus buildings feature Gothic Revival detailing and were adaptively reused as a conference and retreat center; the property is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The site continues to preserve its historic masonry, leaded windows, and courtyard planning.
