Gunung Gangsir

Gunung Gangsir is an 11th-century Hindu temple located in East Java, Indonesia, approximately 5 kilometers from Bangil. This unique red brick structure is notable for combining East and Central Javanese architectural styles and is the only temple in East Java known to use clay casting techniques for its decorations. Experts suggest it predates nearby Majapahit period temples, dating back to the reign of King Airlangga.
