Still Hopes

Still Hopes, also known as the Gabriel Alexander Guignard House, is a historic Georgian Revival mansion located in West Columbia, South Carolina. Built in 1910, this two-story brick structure features a striking portico with Ionic columns and an ornate wraparound porch. Originally constructed as a private residence, it was transformed into an Episcopal retirement community in 1977, accommodating over 500 residents and employing more than 700 staff. The site includes an Episcopal Chapel and welcomes individuals from all faiths. Still Hopes was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, making it a notable destination for tourists and researchers interested in architectural history and community service.
