Museo del Objeto del Objeto

The Museo del Objeto del Objeto (MODO) in Mexico City is the first museum in Mexico dedicated to design and communications, showcasing a unique collection of over 30,000 items related to commercial packaging, advertising, and graphic arts, dating back to 1810. Founded by collector Bruno Newman, the museum aims to preserve and study everyday objects often discarded as junk, such as vintage sneakers and skateboards. Housed in a restored mansion, MODO offers rotating exhibits, workshops, and a gift shop featuring works by emerging Mexican designers. It serves as a cultural hub for research and dialogue on the history of design and communication in Mexico.
